My little man is surrounded by "ladies"! And, of course he loves it...All of the mommy and baby friends that we are close to here in Florida are girls. In our Mommy and Me play group there are the following....Ava, Annabella, Abigail, Sienna, and Hannah...our new friend Rachel is only 11 days younger and of course there is our dear friend Abby who is just one week younger! What did I tell you...all girls. Jonah acts like the prince surrounded by women ;) He loves playing with their hair since he doesn't have much of his own, pulling out their bows, tugging on their dresses, touching their hands and toes, and now the new thing is giving kisses! Yes, my friends...kisses!!! A "ladies man" already...what's a mommy to do!?!?

All Boy...
The other day I was at my parents house...Grandpa, as he is now known, was holding Jonah while he was shaking and banging around a container full of puffs...When Grandpa stated, "He really is "all boy"!....Yep, as well he should be! Jonah loves banging on things, shaking anything that will make noise, he roars, wrestles with his bears and tigers, likes anything electronic (the remote, vacuum, coffee maker, my hair dryer, Jimmy's shavers..) and makes everything a car by pushing it around all over the floor (books, blocks, cars, rings, staking cups...etc.) So I went through some resent pictures just so you can see what I'm talking about...I love that my Jonah is "all boy!" :)
Jonah loves his Teddy Bear!
These pictures make me laugh!
Jonah was having so much fun wrestling with the Tiger!

Summer Time Fun!
Oh baby it's hot out here! So what else is there to do but swim, swim, swim! Jonah's becoming a real water baby....He loves splashing the water all over his face and everywhere else. He kicks like a little frog and even reaches for the wall and holds on tight!
All ready for a swim!

My "Daddy"!
Jonah and his Daddy!!!
oxoxox

What a perfect day! For our first father's day we spent the morning getting out for an early morning bike ride. It's the best time to go this time of year...before the heat hits hard by mid-day. We tried out Jonah's new helmet which seems a bit cumbersome for our little man so we'll take our time getting use to it. Anyway, after a nice breakfast we went to work on rearranging parts of the house to create a playroom for Jonah while he napped. It seemed like a great Father's Day activity and the room turned out perfect! Now Jonah has his own space for all his toys. Then headed off to Grandma and Grandpa's for some fun in the pool and a great barbecue dinner.
There is a special bond between dads and their children that I am so happy to witness now with my own family. Jonah always comes to me for comfort, for food, and of course for lots of love, but with daddy there is a love made of laughter and unspoken smiles that melt my heart. Jimmy is a loving, caring, worrisome daddy that loves Jonah with an incredible warmth and for that I am so grateful. Happy Father's Day Daddy! We love you!!!
Jimmy makes Jonah laugh and giggle so hard it's contagious! I love the way he smiles and shouts out with joy when Daddy comes home, the way Jonah kisses his face afters rolling around on the floor together, the way they chase each other around the house while playing, and the way Jimmy tells him about everyday things, while Jonah looks at him soaking it all in. They are an amazing pair...Father and Son...My boys!!! I love you both so much!!! oxoxox
Playing together!

Happy 10 Months Jonah!!!
10 Months, Wow!!! And I'm home all summer to enjoy every moment, yay! Jonah is so much fun to be with. We are so blessed to have such a healthy, happy, lovable baby boy in our lives. He makes us whole, complete, and truly a family. Jonah is having full conversations with me these days, at least he thinks he is, and is really starting to understand a lot of the things I say. When I say, "Let's take a bath," he crawls to the bathroom waiting for me to turn the water on. Jonah is showing lots of emotions too. When he gets excited he flares his arms and legs and babbles with joy. He claps his hands when we say "Yay!" When he wants to be picked up or taken out of the high chair, he lifts his arms up and can't wait for you to get him. He is also walking with his car walking toy everywhere in the house and has figured out how to maneuver it so that he can turn it around if he gets stuck. Oh and I started brushing his teeth, all 6 of them! Daddy even bought a bike seat for Jonah and he absolutely loves going on bike rides, just like the swings and the beach...There's something about being outside when there is a gentle breeze blowing that's so calming.Yesterday we stopped on the bike path to watch a turtle munching on some grass. Jonah was so curious about it, as he is about everything...It was so mesmerizing to watch Jonah reach out to try to touch the turtle and "talk" to it as thought he was giving it instructions about where the good food was :) Seeing life through your child's eyes is just unbelievable. It's like starting all over again, reliving in a way. I'm so excited about having all summer at home with Jonah. It's the first summer that I'm not working, for as long as I can remember and I plan to gobble up every second of it and of him!

Wishful Thinking
Can we say....wishful thinking....Okay, so since Jonah has been eating more and more solid foods, his "messy" diapers have been getting more regular and a bit predictable. Soooo, it was suggested to me that I try him on the potty chair even though he's not quite 10 months yet....
Ha ha, like I said, wishful thinking. Needless to say, it didn't work. But it was the first time so we made it fun, sang some songs, read one of his favorite books and of course we had to take some pictures. Then came the "get me off of this thing" cry. No poop, no pee, nada, nothing....until next time, maybe ;)
