Grateful, Thankful....Thanksgiving!

As always, Thanksgiving was full of family and great food...thanks to Grandma! But this year in particular made me really reflect on all that I am thankful for in my life. I have come to realize that as little as I think I have at times or as hard as times get once in a while, my life is truly a blessing and my heart is full, and I do have so much! I am forever thankful for having such a beautiful, sweet, and charismatic baby boy. We are so blessed to have Jonah in our lives, to fill our days with laughter and our hearts with love. I am also lucky to have a loving husband who is such a caring and playful father. The giggles that fill our home when Jonah and "Daddy" play are songs in my ears! I am so grateful for the supportive and loving family that surrounds us.

We got to spend lots of time with my family, including "Auntie" Leah who was home for the long Thanksgiving weekend and hadn't seen Jonah since the summer. He warmed up to her pretty quickly and she got to see how much he's grown both physically and socially. Jonah interacts and expresses himself so much more now which makes playing together lots of fun...

The rest of the long weekend was filled with more festivities..it was Jimmy's 4oth Birthday. To celebrate we hosted lunch with my family and then got out with friends later that evening. That was lots of fun and good to get out on our own for a little while! The following evening both Grandma and Grandpa watched Jonah again so that my siblings along with Jimmy and I could get out to see the Tampa Bay Lightning game. Ice hockey is always exciting to watch live. Wow, out two nights in a row, it's been while!
As hard as it is getting a few good photos with a very busy toddler...we tried!

Jonah's 2nd Thanksgiving!

Like I said, a busy boy....
Jonah even played the piano with Leah
(the picture is a bit dark, but so cute anyway)!

Cooler Weather Fun

When it cools down in Florida it is such a nice relief! We spent a lot of time enjoying the fresh air this past weekend. Jonah loves being outside and he looks so grown up in his new "cool weather" clothes. Here are some cute pics of Jonah dressing up to go out. Check out the snowboarder hat! :) The smile that melts my heart!
"I love my mommy, my mommy loves me, I love me!"
15 months!
Ahh, ahh, baby....
My little snowboarder...

Halloween Fun....a little later...

Okay, so I'm a little late on Halloween but I'm a working mom, with a demanding job...we're busy, I try to keep up as much as possible....enough said...

Anyway, here are some fun (and cute) pictures from our Halloween weekend.....Jonah enjoyed visiting my classroom and digging out the pumpkin seeds with my students. On Halloween evening he loved stomping his feet around like a dinosaur and we had so much fun watching....He also helped Grandma give out candy to the "big" kids.

I love my little dinosaur!Grandpa with his little star!
Oh, nothing like the love of Grandparents!
Candy, the best part....and chocolate...even better from Grandma's fingers!

It's Pumpkin Time!

Last week we took Jonah to Fruitville Grove to check out the pumpkins, some animals, kettle corn and shaved ice. What fun!!! Jonah had a great time roaming the pumpkin patch, petting a goat and a horse, checking out the roosters and peacocks, and slurping down some sweet shaved ice....the kettle corn was for Mommy and Daddy...

It's not to heavy from me....I want this one!
These are big pumpkins! Jonah had fun climbing on the haystacks around them...

A whole year gone by....wow!

This one's for you...Leah!

Last week we were visiting at Grandma and Grandpa's. Jonah had made a big mess with his clothes and all I had as a change of clothing were his pajamas. I didn't want to put him in them yet because he was still eating....So, Grandma said, excitedly "I think I have something for him to wear for now!" And she comes out of her bedroom with this T-shirt. Yes, Leah this was yours! So this ones for you, Auntie Leah!!! :)

A Toddler's Life

Jonah is well on his way into Toddlerhood.....I mean more teeth, running, saying his first words, mimicking new sounds and gestures, dancing to music, showing quite a personality, and more. Here are some stats on our beautiful little man.

1. Jonah now has seven teeth and I believe is working on the eighth.

Showing off those pearly whites....
look at all seven teeth with more on the way!

2. He is not just walking but running.
3. He loves music and dances all the time.

4. Jonah has said his first few "real" words like, up, out and hot, and even car. Hot is his favorite, he repeats it over and over and he actually associates it with the right things...the coffee maker, the iron, the oven, a pot on the stove, and even Daddy's morning coffee mug.

5. Jonah is wearing mostly 18 month size clothing.

6. He is doing well at his preschool and seems to have adjusted better than we have.

7. He loves our Sunday morning bike rides on the Legacy Trail where we meet up with Grandpa and ride for at least and hour or more.

8. He still loves swimming and now puts his face in the water to blow bubbles.
9. Jonah makes all kinds of car noises and plays with his cars all the time. He pulls, pushes, and rides anything he can...such a boy!

10. He has cut out his morning nap and is now taking only one nap a day.
11. He is starting to like regular "big boy" food more than the pureed stuff.

12. He weighs 22lbs and is 29 and 1/4 inches tall.(At least the was at his 1 year appointment, could be more now. We'll find out next month.)
13. He is climbing up anything he can so we had to put the crib mattress all the way down.

14. Jonah loves sitting in a "big boy" car seat, facing forward to see everything! 15. Loves to talk to us and to himself in the mirror. Jonah watches himself make funny faces and gestures in the mirror, it makes me laugh.
16. He also gives the best hugs in the world!!!

Here as some other fun pictures from the last couple of weeks....
