Boys need to have tools and machines, right!? Well, Jonah is all about the gadgets! His latest noise maker is his new drill. He walks all around "fixing" things with it, which is very cute, but very noisy! Oh well, boys will be boys! :)
Jonah is really growing up! He is already 21 months and truly becoming a toddler with lots of personality. He has the greatest facial expressions, knows when he's being funny, or silly, or even sneaky, and is very affectionate too. Jonah is now saying lots of new words like up, down, more, shoes, toes, juice, eyes, cheese (for the camera, he's such a ham;), and he is trying to repeat the sounds of other words all the time. He completely understands and responds yes and no to questions or comments. He loves coloring, painting, and has just discovered play-doh. Jonah wants to sit at a "big boy table" and has started to show lots of pretend play with his toys like the cars, farm animals, and his stuffed animals too! It's really cute to watch. He is even getting lots of hair. And...He is starting to make pee, pee and more in the potty!!! Wow Jonah!

Getting ready for the sunset at Siesta Key....
The following weekend at the water park. We get Grandpa to come along, play, and take pictures!

Last Saturday, Jonah and I went downtown to the YMCA 911 safety demonstration. We brought Uncle David along with us for the company and help and met Uncle Adam and friends. Jonah was excited and a bit overwhelmed to see all the big Fire Trucks, police cars, ambulances, police horse (which was huge and scary to the little guy), and rescue dogs. Despite it getting really hot and needing to stay in the shade as much a possible, we had lots fun climbing into the trucks and snapping a few pictures.....
The unconditional love of grandparents is priceless. It's Sunday morning (or afternoon) bike rides with Grandpa on the Legacy Trail that we just can't miss. It's a day a week with Grandma with all her hugs and kisses, coloring, cooking, watering plants, trips to the play ground, sitting with toys and books that she's kept since I was a baby, and all that she teaches. It's Sunday night dinner with family even though we always stay later than we planned, but it doesn't matter because time together is so precious. It's walks on the beach and seeing my parents feeling "young" again. :)
