5 Months!
It's amazing how fast time goes by....Jonah is officially 5 months (as of yesterday)! He changes so much everyday and amazes us more and more. He must be over 16 pounds by now and is certainly finding ways to move around. Last night we all spent some time playing and rolling around all over the living room. Then we read some of Jonah's favorite books. This seems to be our nightly routine before bath time. He loves looking at the bright pictures and listening to the rhythm of us reading to him. I can't believe how fast he is growing and only wish that I could freeze time to take it all in for longer moments. It's an excited yet sad feeling all at the same time...

Oh Baby, It's Cold Outside!
Wow, who knew that we would be bearing such cold temperatures in sunny Florida! Our first "winter" with Jonah and we are indoors with the heat cranked up and running to buy hats and warm outfits! Forecasters have predicted possible snow, though I wouldn't bet on it ;) Anyway, we are actually enjoying some cooler weather, just not use to it. Here is some of the fun we have been having over the last week or so........
The other morning I mentioned to Jimmy that Jonah probably needed a warm hat for these increasingly cold temperatures....This is what he came up with, not bad, huh!
It's all fleece, nice and warm!

This is what was underneath.....I don't know what we would do if we are still up in Boston!
Auntie Martha came to visit last weekend and brought Jonah some new things! Check out Jonah reading!

Jonah loves books and being read to, this newest one reads and sings with him!
Here's Jonah hanging out in bed..."Hey Mommy, here I am!"

I love watching my musical mobile....
Jonah's getting ready to take off...soon enough he'll be crawling! He's already pushing with his feet. Sometimes I find him all the way on the other end of the crib at night.

We also think Jonah is teething because not only is everything in his mouth, but he's rubbing his lips together a lot and really enjoying the frozen wash clothes and teething rings. He's even started taking the pacifier at times, which he never had before....
"Ay...you talken' to me!"

I love my Jumperoo!....I'm bouncing so much more now....

Washing Up!
Jonah is 20 weeks now and growing fast! He's rolling around easily, grabbing at everything, and starting to put two syllable sounds together when he "talks". It's so cute to listen to! I decided to wait on feeding him solids since he's growing just fine and was advised by our new pediatrician that we can wait until 6 months! It's much more messy and less fun, according to him, so I have no problem waiting, especially since Jonah wasn't so thrilled when we tried the rice cereal a few weeks ago.
Some day Jonah may be very mad at me for sharing these, but right now he's too little to protest. I can't help it.....He's just so cute! :) Enjoy......

Mommy was having fun with the new camera, while Daddy was washing Jonah up one morning!

A Day Around Town
Since the weather has been so nice and cool over the last week or so, we took advantage of being outdoors! We spent last Tuesday at Marina Jack, threw a blanket on the grass and rolled around for a while. The following Saturday, we took a walk on the beach. It was a bit overcast but not cold, a perfect time to introduce Jonah to the sand and the ocean outside of the womb ;) He absolutely loved it and was jumping around with excitement in his baby carrier. I knew he would since we use to walk the beach a lot when I was pregnant, listening to the sounds of the ocean is the best! :) I think Jonah's going to be a beach bum, like mommy!

Hanging out on a blanket at Marina Jack....Jonah has lots to talk about these days! :)

Enjoying the afternoon at the beach, it was too cloudy for the usual great sunset but we still loved listening to all the sounds at the beach, watching the ocean, and chasing the seagulls!
and we got to try out one of Jonah's beach hats...cute, huh!
It's always so nice when someone offers to take a family picture for us and it comes out pretty good...look at Daddy sporting "vera"...he's getting use to carrying bags :)

Jonah's 1st Chanukah!
Jonah's first Chanukah was filled with lots of fun, family, and some great new toys! Not only for him but for Mommy and Daddy as well. Yep, Grandpa surprised us with a new Nikon 3000, an amazing camera to take lots and lots of terrific pictures of Jonah! Here are some from the last couple of weeks.....

Jonah was completely exhausted the night we tried to take family pictures with the menorah....so.....

we staged it the next day...hey, it worked and there were no tears...that morning we played with some new toys including his little elephant!

Jonah loves how it rattles and jiggles....and in the mouth it goes...
Here we are at Grandma's having the last of the potato latkas...I'm sure Jonah would love to have some!
Jonah's first Chanukah pictures.....

with Mommy and Daddy.....

He was mesmerized by the candle light....
There were lots of toys and clothes for Jonah! His favorite so far is his new Jumperoo! Jonah loves spinning the little froggy and staring at himself in the mirror....
and he "plays" the piano while bouncing around to the music! His feet almost touch the ground, right now he bounces on his tippy toes ;)
We really had a wonderful first Chanukah with Jonah with lots of new memories. It is so much fun to watch him play, laugh, and babble! He is so expressive with sounds and faces. Jonah amazes us everyday and we are truly blessed to have him in our lives!

4 Month Check Up
Jonah had his 4 month well visit today. It all went well despite the shots. Poor little guy cried pretty hard and then fell asleep in the car on the way home. He seemed to be doing okay this evening and even played for a few minutes on his new Jumperoo that Jimmy put together! Let's see how the night goes....He was in good spirits for the doctor; babbled, rolled over, held his head up high while on his tummy, and was bright eyed as usual. Jonah is now 15 pounds and 7 ounces and measuring at 25 and 1/2 inches long, putting him in the 50%, if that matters. Basically he is growing well and doing great! I got all my questions answered about starting solids and after discussing the issues we had with the rice cereal, it seems that he doesn't need it. Since he's growing so well it is not necessary and we can skip it. According to the doctor, it's just a calorie filler that he doesn't need. Now it's time to start on Stage 1 veggies and fruits! Boy oh boy, that's going to be messy! Jimmy set up the high chair tonight...my baby is growing fast....I guess we're going to start food in the next day or so. Will keep you posted :)
