Before Liz and Abby left for baseball season in Baltimore, we had a fun play date at the park. It's sad parting ways especially when Abby and Jonah have so much fun together and Liz and I get a chance to have "mommy talk time", but we are glad to hear that they are settling into their beautiful Baltimore rental and enjoying baseball season which seems to be off to a great start for Jim and the Orioles. We wish you guys all the best and can't wait to take up where we left off when you come back home! :)

A Reader....

Jonah loves to read! I'm so excited as a mother and a teacher that my son loves books! He's got a favorite that is all about trucks of course and several others that he very much enjoys listening to as well. Toward the end of our busy day, Jonah will go and pick out a bunch and nods his head yes with a smile when asked, "would you like to read these books with me?" For some like "The Going to Bed" by Sandra Boyton, he does the motions of brushing teeth, scrubbing in the tub, exercising, and rocking to sleep and he has gotten great at pointing out different things in books like in "Goodnight Moon" and "I Love You Through and Through"! Jonah also likes to look at books in the car and we even have a bunch of book in the bathtub! I hope he will always love to read....

Boys will be boys!

Jonah is all boy for sure! He loves cars and trucks, airplanes too! Really he loves anything that go, go, goes! Any machines, gadgets, balls, you name it....He even has a bunch of great sound affects for all of them. Here are some great "boy things" we did over my spring break. It's so much fun to be a kid again! :)

Playing outside is lots of fun. Jonah loves to put stones in the water fountain bowl and help Mommy water her flowers.
Of course there is the four-wheeler....Now that's fun!

Jonah and Abby, what a pair...they are too cute together and we always have a great time on our playdates! Thanks for having us over today, Liz! We're going to miss you guys when you're away!

Happy Birthday to Me.....

I love celebrating birthdays, always have...my own and everyone elses. So Thursday was my day, my 34th day. So nice of the lady at the nail salon to tell me that there was no way I was turning 34, that I didn't look older than 27...I say "tell me that 10 years from now!" Anyway, I had a wonderful day....got some "me time" in the morning so I went to get my nails done and then Jimmy and I had some "us time "for lunch since Grandma offered to be with Jonah while he ate his lunch and napped, then we celebrated with my family in the evening. I even received some beautiful cards from everyone, including Jonah and some really cool Techie gifts! A kindle which Jimmy gave me, (a total surprise!) and a Webcam from by brother, Adam! Plus some $ for shopping...:) Thank you, thank you! Friday night Jimmy took me out to dinner and we had a great time. It's nice to get out just the two of us and have some adult time once in a while.
